Dr. Fernando Miguel Rivas Oliveras
Medical Director
Dr. Rivas is a highly respected, board-certified, emergency physician with more than 15 years of experience in emergency medicine. He proudly serves as Chief Medical Officer for Transcend Clinic.
Dr. Rivas also has 10 years of experience serving as medical director for one of the foremost private hospitals in Cancun. In addition, he has led the development of treatment methodologies in areas of addiction medicine and clinical applications of psychedelics, including psilocybin and ibogaine.
His interests are wide-ranging, as are his solid academic credentials which include being fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, holding a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Montreal, extracorporeal life support (ECMO) specialist certification from the University of Monterrey, and having been a professor of emergency medicine for more than eight years at the largest public hospital in Cancun.
