Before you make plans

Is there a nonstop flight from Las Vegas to Cancún?

Yes. Southwest lists one daily nonstop from Harry Reid International (LAS) to Cancún (CUN), with a scheduled flight time of 4 hours and 25 minutes over 2006 miles. That is schedule data, so check with the airline before you book. Cancún stays on UTC-5 all year, so it runs two hours ahead of Las Vegas in summer and three hours ahead in winter. Pick a flight that lands in the morning or early afternoon. A clinic representative meets you outside arrivals, and private ground transport takes you to the clinic, about 20 minutes away. Buy your ticket only after intake and medical screening have confirmed your dates.

What does ibogaine treatment cost if I am coming from Las Vegas?

You choose from four programs. The 7-Day Program is $12,000, the 10-Day Program is $17,000, the 14-Day Program is $24,000 and the 21-Day Program is $36,000. A 50% deposit books your dates: $6,000, $8,500, $12,000 or $18,000. We are now booking into 2027. Your physician sets the final plan after your medical review. On top of the program, budget for your own round trip from LAS, which you book once screening confirms your dates. The clinic arranges your pickup at Cancún airport.

Can I get ibogaine treatment in Nevada?

No. A clinic in Las Vegas cannot legally offer ibogaine treatment outside federally and state-approved research. Ibogaine is Schedule I under federal law, and Nevada's own rules list it in Schedule I too. Transcend does not provide or ship ibogaine anywhere in the US; we treat patients only at our clinic in Cancún. If you are on probation, hold a gaming or professional license, or have a court case in Clark County, talk to a lawyer before you make plans.

Which drugs are behind overdose deaths in Las Vegas, and what should I tell your intake team?

Methamphetamine shows up most often. Nevada's 2024 overdose review of Clark County found methamphetamine in 484 of 786 deaths and fentanyl in 461, with many deaths involving both; cocaine appeared in 131 and alcohol in 82. CDC's provisional count, which uses a different method, shows 778 overdose deaths among Clark County residents in the 12 months ending December 2025. Nevada's age-adjusted rate was 32.4 per 100,000 in the 12 months ending June 2025 (2025 Q2). Tell us about every substance you use, including meth, pills and alcohol, even if fentanyl is your main concern. Our intake team will ask about your medications and history. Every patient goes through a complete medical evaluation before treatment.

I am a veteran in Southern Nevada. Where can I get help locally, and is Transcend connected to the VA?

Transcend is a private clinic in Cancún. We are not part of, connected with or endorsed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and we make no claim about VA or TRICARE coverage. The nearest VA medical center is the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center at 6900 North Pecos Road in North Las Vegas, which offers mental health care that includes PTSD and addiction treatment. The Las Vegas Vet Center at 7455 West Washington Avenue offers confidential counseling, and you can reach the Vet Center Call Center any time at 877-927-8387. If you already use either one, keep that support in place while you look into options. If you are in crisis, dial 988 and press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.

I am a Las Vegas Metro officer. Who can I talk to before contacting a clinic?

Start with people who know the job. The Las Vegas Police Protective Association represents Metro officers and can tell you which wellness benefits your contract covers. CopLine is a national confidential helpline answered by retired officers, if you would rather talk to someone outside your department first. Ibogaine is Schedule I under federal law, so check your department's drug-testing and fitness-for-duty rules with your union or a lawyer before you make plans. When you are ready, our intake calls are confidential.

Does Transcend accept people whose main problem is alcohol?

Tell us honestly how much you drink, and we will look at it as part of your medical evaluation. Long-term heavy drinking can damage the liver, and an active liver condition is one of the things that can rule treatment out. Alcohol use disorder is common in Nevada: the latest state estimate puts it at about 12.8% of residents 12 and older. Do not stop drinking suddenly on your own while you wait, because alcohol withdrawal can become life-threatening; talk to a doctor first. For a local detox referral, call the free SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 or text your ZIP code to 435748.

How do you check my heart before I fly from Las Vegas?

Ibogaine carries known heart risks, so screening comes first. Before you fly, our medical team, including cardiologist Dr. Carlos Salcido, reviews your history and medications. Treatment then runs under 24/7 cardiac monitoring. If you use stimulants such as meth or cocaine, say so on the intake call, because heart risk is part of the medical evaluation.

My adult son lives in Las Vegas and uses fentanyl. Can I arrange treatment for him?

You can start the arrangements on your loved one's behalf, but our staff must speak directly with the adult who would receive treatment, and that person has to agree to take part before any placement is confirmed. If he takes methadone or Suboxone, tell our intake team: the physician sets the final plan after the medical review, and please do not change any medication on your own. While you wait, keep naloxone in the house and learn the signs of an overdose; the SAMHSA National Helpline (1-800-662-4357) can point you to local services. If he is in danger, call 911, or call or text 988.

In crisis? If you or someone you love is thinking about suicide or is in danger, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
