How to Choose an Ibogaine Provider

T
October 25, 2026· 3 min read

Choosing an ibogaine provider is a medical decision as much as a travel one. Before you compare rooms or views, compare how each clinic screens patients, who is on the medical team, and who is with you during treatment. This guide lists the questions worth asking any provider, including us.

Bring these questions to a free call with our intake team. You can also ask Lisa, our AI advisor, any time; she will set the call for you.

1. Ask how they screen you

A careful provider wants your medical history before you book flights. Ask what they review, who reviews it, and what tests happen when you arrive.

At Transcend: Before you travel, our medical team carefully reviews your medical history, current medications, and any relevant health conditions. Upon arrival at the clinic, a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) and comprehensive blood tests are performed.

2. Ask who is on the medical team

Ask for names, roles and licenses, and whether physicians are on site or on call.

At Transcend: care is led by licensed physicians, with a cardiologist on staff. Our team page lists each physician and nurse with their license numbers.

3. Ask who is with you during treatment

Ask who is in the building overnight and how quickly they can respond.

At Transcend: Throughout treatment, patients receive 24/7 on-site medical supervision, allowing our experienced team to recognize and promptly address potential complications.

4. Ask whether they will say no

A provider that accepts everyone is not screening. Ask what conditions would rule you out.

At Transcend: Certain medical conditions including some heart and lung issues may make ibogaine treatment unsuitable, and our screening process is designed to ensure that only appropriate candidates proceed.

5. Ask what they need from you

Good providers ask for detail. If you use more than one drug, tell us all of them at intake. To help us assess your eligibility, please have a complete list of all medications and supplements available during your initial consultation.

6. Ask about the stay and travel

Ask about airport pickup, the room, meals, and who you can call before you arrive. See our Cancún location.

7. Ask what happens after you go home

Ask what support continues after the stay and who your contact will be. Our intake team can walk you through it on your consultation call.

8. Ask about cost in writing

Ask what the fee includes and what the deposit and cancellation terms are, in writing, before you book. Our medical team reviews your history and health at intake and confirms the program length and fee before booking.
